IMD Construction Sdn Bhd (IMD) was incorporated as IMD sdn Bhd in Malaysia in year 1988 under MALAYSIAN Companies Act 1965.The Company was renamed IMD Construction Sdn Bhd in February 2015 .
This brings us over 3 decades of expertise in civil and building construction for potable water related work ranging from the construction of water dams to water treatment plants, pipelaying, storage tanks and reservoirs.
In delivering state of the art systems we offer expertise in plant automation and are certified installers of mechanical, electrical and instrumentation equipment for water works projects. This includes the development of highly specialised SCADA and telemetry systems for your project needs.
As a focused Specialist in the field we also go beyond construction and installation to provide management, operation and maintenance works to water treatment plants.

Our EXPERIENCE

CLIENT : METROPOLITAN UTILITIES CORPORATION SND BHD
PROJECT : GREATER IPOH WATER SUPPLY II CONCESSION
     : 1989-1998
   : 9 years
scope : Oversee and manage the Phase I and Phase II development work of the Greater Ipoh Water Supply II Concession that includes upgrading works to existing water treatment plants (from 182MLD to 412MLD), supply and installation of reticulation and trunk mains, construction of reservoirs as well as the automation of the SCADA and telemetry system to water treatment plants amounting to an approximate project value of RM193.4 million.

CLIENT : AIR UTARA INDAH SDN BHD
PROJECT : OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE OF WATER TREATMENT PLANTS
: 1990-2020
: 30 years
scope : Contractor for the Operation and Maintenance of Water Treatment Plant. Operate, maintain and manage five water treatment plants in Kedah Darul Aman, I.e. Pelubang Water Treatment Plant, Bukit Pinang Water Treatment Plant, Sungai Petani & Pinang Tunggal Water Treatment Plant and Kulim Water Treatment Plant with a total design capacity of 618 MLD.

CLIENT : THE STATE GOVERNMENT OF KEDAH DARUL AMAN
PROJECT : UPGRADING WORKS AT KULIM HI-TECH WATER TREATMENT PLANT, SUNGAI PETANI, KEDAH DARUL AMAN FROM 150 MLD TO 300 MLD.
: February 2015 - November 2016

scope : Contractor for the Upgrading Works at Kulim Hi-Tech Water Treatment Plant, Sungai Petani, Kedah Darul Aman Construction from 150 MLD to 300 MLD, Work include but not limited to the conversion of Lovo tanks, construction of an aerator, extension of the raw and treated water pumping stations, installation and commissioning of telemetry & SCADA system.
